Blockwerk — Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Blockwerk collects when you visit blockwerk.xyz or buy Blockwerk, and what we do with it.
Last updated: 5 October 2026.
1. What we collect
- When you buy: our checkout provider, Polar, collects your name, email address, billing details and payment information. Polar is the merchant of record and processes your payment; we never see your card details. Polar shares your email address and order details with us so we can give you access.
- To give you access: your GitHub username, which you use to accept the invite to the private repository. GitHub’s own privacy policy applies to your GitHub account.
- When you browse the site: basic technical information such as pages visited, the referring link, browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
2. Advertising pixels and cookies
The site uses advertising pixels from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Reddit. These are small pieces of code that set cookies or similar identifiers and send Meta and Reddit information about your visit, including the pages you view and whether you complete a purchase. We use this to measure whether our ads work and to show our ads to people who have visited the site. Meta and Reddit may combine it with other information they hold about you, under their own privacy policies.
You can control this:
- block third-party cookies or use a tracking blocker in your browser;
- adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook, Instagram and Reddit account settings.
The site works the same with these blocked.
3. How we use your information
To process your purchase and give you access, to answer support requests, to measure and improve our advertising and the site, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run Blockwerk: Polar (checkout), GitHub (repository access), Cloudflare (website hosting), and Meta and Reddit (advertising measurement, as described above). Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
5. Keeping your information
We keep purchase records for as long as tax and consumer laws require, and access records for as long as you have access to the repository.
6. Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or make a complaint about how we handle it. Reply to your Polar receipt email, or message the Blockwerk Facebook Page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The version on this page is the current one.
